Cold Hard Truth: On Business, Money & Life by Kevin O’Leary
This book shares author Kevin O’Leary’s entrepreneurial journey and it has helped shape my view on business. It has helped me in both the business and personal aspects of my life. How to grow personal wealth and to not let business totally consume you. Family is still important. - Jason Roos, MAI, Director of Industrial Valuation The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey This book gives you an action plan to get your finances in order, and reminds us to live frugally and have little to no debt. - John Perry, Real Estate Analyst The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap: A Memoir of Friendship, Community, and the Uncommon Pleasure of a Good Book by Wendy Welch This is an awesome true story about working at what you love against all odds and taking chances. It also highlights the importance of building community and strengthening friendships. - Joanne Montgomery, Operations Manager The Road Less Traveled by Dr. M. Scott Peck A great book about personal responsibility. I hate to use the term “Self Help” but that is probably where you find it in bookstores. I like “personal development”. This book was a reminder to me that I control my own destiny and make choices every day that impact my condition. A great (sometimes dry) read for those seeking understanding. - Laird Goldsborough, MAI, Senior Managing Director The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls A courageous memoir about resilience and redemption despite the dysfunction of the author's upbringing. This book was hard to put down. I also highly recommend, Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls. -Allison Hamlin, Marketing Coordinator The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss This book showed me that you don't have to travel the linear path society creates; go to school, get a job, start a family, and settle down in the suburbs. It's a great alternative view. - Garrett Connelly, Real Estate Analyst
